How is lip augmentation performed?
Full lips are often considered a sign of health, beauty, and youth. As we age, the upper lip loses volume and becomes thinner. Some people feel that their lips have always been too thin. Lip augmentation performed by Dr. Olimpiu Hârceagă can help you achieve the voluptuous, sculpted lips you desire.
Whether to restore what has been lost or to increase the current size of the lips, lip augmentation may be the right choice for you. A variety of soft tissue fillers, including fat, collagen, hyaluronic acid, and others, can be used to augment the lips with quick, simple injections. Lip augmentation requires minimal recovery time, and the improvements are immediately visible.
Dr. Olimpiu Hârceagă primarily uses Allergan products when it comes to fillers with hyaluronic acid. For lip augmentation, a type of acid with a soft, elastic consistency is required that does not retain water and remains in place for a long time after injection. Juvederm Volbella is the recommended filler for lip augmentation and is part of the latest range of fillers produced by Allergan.
Your own fat can also be used for lip augmentation. Local anesthesia is required for this procedure.
