Good day! You are scheduled to have a surgical procedure with Dr. Olimpiu Hârceagă.

For admission you must present yourself at Oculens Clinic (Cluj Napoca, Calea Turzii Street, no. 134-136). The surgery time will be communicated to you later, usually through a message a few days before the surgery date. On the day of the procedure you are not allowed to eat anything or consume any liquids 6 hours before admission. Also, if you are a smoker, please do not smoke at all on the day of the procedure.

We request that when you come for admission you do not have semi-permanent nail polish or gel on your fingernails and that they be cut short, and that you come without makeup and without accessories/jewelry.

For admission you only need personal items.

If everything is in order, discharge will take place the next day around 10:00-12:00.

If you have chronic conditions and if you are following any treatment for them or any other treatment, if you have cold symptoms, cough, fever, sore throat before admission, please notify us.

2 weeks before surgery please stop dietary supplements (write to us if there is something you absolutely must take so we can confirm with the doctor whether it should be discontinued or not). If you are a smoker, 2 weeks before surgery please halve the number of cigarettes.

For the procedure you will need to perform the following blood tests:

• Complete blood count
• Complete coagulation profile
• Urea
• Creatinine
• AST
• ALT
• Urinalysis

* if you are over 50 years old a cardiology consultation is required
* if the procedure is at breast level then a breast ultrasound will also be necessary (if you have had such an investigation or a mammography in the current year please send that one)
* Blood tests are done approximately 3 weeks before surgery, and after you have the test results please send them to us on WhatsApp at no. 0745169946 or email: contact@drolimpiuharceaga.ro
* if necessary the anesthesiologist will contact you for a discussion. Also if you wish you can have a discussion with the anesthesiologist, either at the office or by phone; please notify us to arrange the discussion. In any case, the anesthesiologist will consult you on the day of surgery.

The advance payment for the procedure is 1000 euros in lei equivalent at the NBR exchange rate from the payment date. The difference for the procedure is paid after discharge within 7 calendar days in lei equivalent at the NBR exchange rate from the payment date. The advance is paid within 10 days from the date of receiving the fiscal invoice (to generate the invoice, we will need your full name and address). After paying the advance please send us a copy of the payment proof.

At Observations please specify “advance/payment difference conf. Invoice no…….”

* In case the tests do not allow the surgery to be performed you will receive the advance back.

Pre-operatively you will receive informed consents and a medical services contract, documents which you will sign at admission. Please read them and notify us if anything is unclear to you.

Pay attention to Art.7 Advance refund in case of contract termination through unilateral denunciation from the Medical Services Contract:

1. The advance is returned 100% in the following situations:
   – if the renunciation of this contract by the beneficiary or renunciation of the appointment is made more than 20 days before the contract start date without any particular reason or if the patient is unable to perform the proposed surgical/medical treatment due to health condition certified by medical certificate issued by the family doctor or another specialist doctor or following a consultation performed by the anesthesiologist collaborating with the clinic where the surgical/medical procedure is to be performed, as well as based on medical tests.
   – Following an event described as force majeure according to law.
   – denunciation by the Provider.
2. If contract denunciation or non-appearance at the scheduled date occurs outside the situations described above then the Beneficiary patient will be returned 50% of the advance paid.
